Understanding Watch on Slingbox.com error codes

Have you received an error code from Watch on Slingbox.com, such as "W201,"W202," or "W211"?

Here's a full list of the error codes and what they mean.

Error number Error text that you might see What it means in English Try doing this
W100 eInvalidPassword The Slingbox Administrator password that you typed is incorrect. Re-enter the password.
W101 eGeneric There was an error connecting to your Slingbox. Try connecting again.
W102 OnStreamConflict Your Slingbox is being used by someone else. Would you like to disconnect them so you can watch? Decide whether/not you want to disconnect the other user.
W105 OnDiskSpace Your computer's disk space is low. See the disk's documentation for freeing up space or checking for disk problems. Free up space on your hard disk. If it's less than 90% full, use diagnostic software to check for disk problems.
W106 OnFirmwareUpdateInprogress The Slingbox is being updated right now. Please try again in a few minutes. Try connecting again later, after the update process completes.
W107 OnStreamDisabled Connections to your Slingbox have been disabled. Please contact your Sling subscription provider. Contact the provider who offers you your Slingbox subscription. (This would not be Sling Media.)
W108 OnTakeOver You were disconnected by another user. Do you want to reconnect to the Slingbox? Decide whether/not to reconnect to your Slingbox. In doing so, you might disconnect the other user.
W109 OnNoInternetConnection There's a problem accessing the Internet. Make sure your computer is connected to your network, and that your network has reliable Internet access. Use your computer to check your network connection. If you open a web browser page but are unable to visit websites, then your Internet access may be down. Check cable connections. If you can't determine what the problem is, consider contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to discuss the issue.
W110 OnTimeout Your Slingbox has been disconnected because of an Automatic Streaming problem. Try reconnecting, or try another location. Or use Setup to reconfigure your router, being sure to complete all Setup steps. If you have an older Slingbox model, such as a Slingbox PRO, Slingbox SOLO, or Slingbox PRO-HD, you may have to try using Setup on Slingbox.com to reconfigure Internet Viewing. (There's a link below for your convenience. This is not necessary with the Slingbox 350 or the Slingbox 500.) To make sure that your Slingbox is configured to take advantage of all the connection methods that it's capable of, be sure to complete all the steps. There also might be a problem connecting to your Slingbox from the network you're currently using. This can be for a variety of reasons.
W113 OnUnsupportedBox Watch on Slingbox.com can't connect to this earlier Slingbox. Go to the Slingbox Support site to download and install the desktop version of SlingPlayer. Go to the Slingbox Support site and download either SlingPlayer for Mac, or SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows from the appropriate links below. Your Slingbox model is no longer supported and can't access Watch on Slingbox.com. But you should be able to use those two desktop (standalone) versions.
W114 OnFirmwareVersionNotSupported The Slingbox Software inside your Slingbox needs updating. Click here to get the update, then connect again. Click the link provided to update the Slingbox Software (firmware) inside your Slingbox.
W115 OnBoxOffline Unable to connect to your Slingbox. Make sure that your Slingbox is on and connected to your network. Also check that firewall and router settings aren't blocking access. Check your Slingbox to make sure that both red lights (Network and Power) on the right side of its front panel are lit. If both lights are out, make sure the Slingbox is receiving power. If the left light is out or blinking, make sure your Slingbox is connected to your router. If you have an older Slingbox model, such as a Slingbox PRO, Slingbox SOLO, or Slingbox PRO-HD, you may have to try using Setup on Slingbox.com to reconfigure Internet Viewing. (There's a link below for your convenience. This is not necessary with the Slingbox 350 or the Slingbox 500.) You should also check to see if any of your network router's settings, such as firewall or other security settings, might be interfering with your Slingbox. Check your router's documentation for more information. If you're at work, or otherwise connected to a network other than your home network, you may need to check with that network's administrator.
W116 OnLANStreamingBlocked Connections to your Slingbox from within your home network have been disabled. Please contact your Sling subscription provider. Contact the provider who offers you your Slingbox subscription. (This would not be Sling Media.)
W117 OnWANStreamingBlocked Connections to your Slingbox from the Internet have been disabled. Please contact your Sling subscription provider. Contact the provider who offers you your Slingbox subscription. (This would not be Sling Media.)
W118 OnWANStreamingDisabled Connections to your Slingbox from the Internet have been disabled. Please contact your Sling subscription provider. Contact the provider who offers you your Slingbox subscription. (This would not be Sling Media.)
W127 OnInvalidFinderID The Slingbox ID that you entered is not correct. Please re-enter it. Do not type dashes. ("-") Re-enter the Slingbox ID for your Slingbox. It is 32 characters long, and consists of letters and numbers. Upper/lower case doesn't matter for the letters, but don't type any dashes or hyphens.
W200 OnConnectionFailed There's a problem communicating with your Slingbox. Make sure the Slingbox is on and ready for Internet Viewing. Also check network cables, and confirm your router is set up correctly. Check your Slingbox to make sure that both red lights (Network and Power) on its right-front are lit. If both lights are out, make sure the Slingbox is receiving power. If the left light is out or blinking, check all network cables and make sure your Slingbox is connected to your router. If you have an older Slingbox model, such as a Slingbox PRO, Slingbox SOLO, or Slingbox PRO-HD, you may have to try using Setup on Slingbox.com to reconfigure Internet Viewing. (There's a link below for your convenience. This is not necessary with the Slingbox 350 or the Slingbox 500.)
W201 OnConnectionReset You've been disconnected from your Slingbox. Please re-connect. If this happens often, check for problems with your network or your Slingbox. You can get help at the Slingbox Support web site. Check to make sure that your network cables are firmly connected, and that they aren't old or defective. Occasional disconnections can happen for a variety of reasons. But they shouldn't happen often or on a regular basis. If they do, and if you're also having other problems with your network (such as with browsing web pages) there might be problems with your router. There might also be a problem with your Slingbox. Take a look at the Support pages at the Slingbox.com website for more information. There's a link below for your convenience.
W202 OnSlingBoxConnectionLost Your Slingbox has been disconnected because of a poor Internet connection. Try connecting again. You may need to use another location. If this happens repeatedly, try reconnecting from another network. Moving to another location closer to a Wi-Fi antenna may help, but it also may not. The Slingbox is able to make the best use out of the network connection that you have. But if your home network's Internet connection isn't very good ... or the same is true of the Internet connection you're currently using for your computer or smartphone ... then there might be too many problems for the Slingbox to overcome.
W203 OnMediationServerFailed There's a problem connecting to your Slingbox. Make sure network access to your Slingbox isn't blocked by a firewall setting or security issue. Check to see if any of your network router's settings, such as firewall or other security settings, might be interfering with your Slingbox. Check your router's documentation for more information. If you're at work, or otherwise connected to a network other than your home network, you may need to check with that network's administrator.
W210 OnStreamInitialisationFailure A problem occurred while the Slingbox was preparing to connect. Please try again. Try connecting again.
W211 OnStreamDataUnavailable There was a problem with the video stream. The connection was stopped. Please connect again. If this keeps happening, make sure the Slingbox is working correctly. You may need to reset it. Try connecting to your Slingbox again. If that doesn't help ... especially if it happens when you try to connect to your Slingbox from more than one device (one or more computers, or a computer and a smartphone) then restart your Slingbox by pressing and immediately releasing the Reset button.
W212 OnWidevineHandshakeError A problem has occurred while connecting. Please connect again. Try connecting again.
W213 OnResolveFailed There's a problem connecting to your Slingbox. Please try again. If you are still unable to connect, check for possible notifications on the Slingbox support web site. Try connecting again. If you are unable to connect, check the Slingbox.com support site for a notification of a systemwide issue. There's a link below for your convenience.
W220 OnStreamEndByDev_Unknown Your streaming session ended because of network errors. Please try connecting again. Try connecting again. If you are unable to connect, check the Slingbox.com support site for a notification of a systemwide issue. There's a link below for your convenience.
W300 OnProxySetting Can't connect to your Slingbox. Please confirm that your web browser's proxy settings are correct. If your web browser requires proxy settings (such as if you're connecting from work) make sure that those proxy settings are correct. You may need to check with your network administrator for more information.
